With the help of a friendly neighborhood cleric, your death doesn't have to be the end. All you have to do is gather the scattered bits of your corpse, and bring them to the end of the maze so he can help you to continue existing.

But beware the denizens of the maze. They seemed determined to keep the new-comers there, taking their collected pieces and scattering them throughout the maze. The good news is they're somewhat short-sighted, and will only find you if you bump into them.
